Promimic develops and commercialises HAnano Surface, a nanometre-thin hydroxyapatite coating that stimulates bone formation and improves the implant’s anchorage. The technology can be applied to several types of materials and implant geometries, including porous and 3D-printed implants.

The company’s business model is based on licence agreements with implant manufacturers, and HAnano Surface is now used commercially in, among other areas, dental, spinal and orthopaedic surgery.
