BioArctic: from early-stage biotech to global Alzheimer’s innovation

KDventures was an early investor in BioArctic and supported the company during its formative years. The investment developed into one of KDventures’ most successful exits, where the value of the holding at BioArctic’s IPO corresponded to approximately 80 times the invested capital. Today, BioArctic is an internationally established biotech company and the originator of lecanemab, marketed as Leqembi for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.

AnaCardio: from company formation to clinical proof-of-concept

KDventures co-founded AnaCardio to translate groundbreaking research into a new treatment for heart failure. Since its inception, KDventures has supported the company through financing, company building and clinical development. In 2026, AnaCardio reported positive results from its phase 1b/2a study with AC01, providing clinical proof-of-concept and support for continued development towards phase 2b.

Dilafor: from Swedish research to global phase 3 development

KDventures has supported Dilafor through several stages of the company’s development, from early scientific innovation to clinical validation and international partnership. Today, tafoxiparin is being further developed together with the global women’s health company Exeltis, which contributes the industrial capacity and financing required ahead of the planned phase 3 programme.
