Aprea Therapeutics develops precision oncology medicines based on so-called synthetic lethality. The strategy is to block mechanisms that cancer cells are particularly dependent on to manage DNA damage and cell division.

The company's clinical portfolio includes the WEE1 inhibitor APR-1051 and the ATR inhibitor ATRN-119. APR-1051 is being evaluated in phase 1 in advanced solid tumours and has shown early signals of clinical activity. For ATRN-119, the recommended phase 2 dose has been established, and Aprea is now evaluating potential combination strategies.
